Clara was a bit out of sorts on the way to work/school today, and apparently it was all my fault for having the nerve to take a rock away from her. Silly me for thinking it was a bad idea for her to be scraping the enamel off of her teeth with it. So, rockless, this is what she made me endure for our 10 minute commute:
My rock!
Myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhck!
(plaintive wailing)
I want my bathing suit!
My bathing suuuuuittttt!!
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo bathing suit!!!!!!
(more plaintive wailing)
Rock, mommmmmyy.... raaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhckkkk!
(silent pause)
A doggy! Look! A doggy!
(giggles, then comes to her senses and remembers that she is. not. happy.)
Moooommmmmeeeeeeeeee myyyyyy raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhck!
(repeat)
I pulled into the children's center parking lot wondering if it would be okay to just leave her on the curb and peel out.
Thankfully, episodes like this seem to be few and far between. Most of our car time is much more pleasant. For example:
