Today was a good day. I took my mom out to lunch at a tasty restaurant in Pasadena, bought some shoes, then Dad and Chria and Clara came to meet us at the Huntington Library. Last time we were at the Huntington with Clara, she was a little too young to enjoy the children's garden. This time around, things were different.
After removing her woefully inadequate footwear (and apparently breaking the "no bare feet" rule at the same time), Clara got to play in the mist, listen to rocks make delightful tinkly noises, splash in fountains, and sniff and touch flowers and plants to her hearts content.
We also ate ice cream sandwiches and, in a fitting end to a very sweet day, enjoyed some good old fashioned lazing about.
