We plan a 5 year anniversary getaway to Baja, and the anniversary boy crashes his bike and breaks his elbow.
So instead of driving south for a childless weekend of wine tasting and gourmet meals, we're planning to spend the evening of our five year anniversary kicking back with CJ, eating cauliflower soup, drinking wine, and watching a couple of DVDs that we rented. Although, when you really get down to it, it's not such a bad way to spend a day. (Except for the broken elbow part... let's skip that next time around.)
Happy anniversary my love... in sickness and in health, right?

happy anniversary to you, too! here's to 5 more (years, not broken elbows)!
Oh yea! Happy anniversary. Sorry about the elbow (tim is wondering about the details). Adobe Guadalupe looks awesome- nice find. Certainly looks worth visiting and celebrating your life together any regular, happy day. xoxo
oh yeah, in case anyone else is wondering, the accident was caused by a perfect storm of bad circumstances: I had just left the house on my way to work and was accelerating (not realizing i was in a bad gear combination) to make it through a yellow light when my chain skipped and threw the derailleur into the rear wheel. So, already off balance, when the rear wheel froze up i was doomed. I went down off balance also, landed right on my elbow, and knew immediately that something was wrong. I carried the bike home and my very sympathetic neighbor took me to the hospital. I have an olecranon fracture (like this: http://www.gentili.net/fracture.asp?ID=82) and will have a pin put in on monday morning. :(
Happy Anniversary! Good luck with your surgery and recovery!
